General Electric has invested more than $4 billion in renewable energy, with the
latest funds from the conglomerate going to three wind farms in northern and western New York.

"We have reached the $4 billion milestone just five months after hitting $3
billion, confirming that renewable energy is our fastest-growing business," Alex
Urquhart, president and chief executive of GE Energy Financial Services, is
quoted as saying by Bloomberg.

GE, the biggest wind turbine maker in the U.S., is buying the wind farm stakes
from Noble Environmental Power. J.P. Morgan Chase owns the majority of Noble Environmental.
