In North America alone, the company's expecting to move 100,000 of the cars,
Dick Colliver, executive vice president for sales at American Honda Motor, is
quoted as saying. The company expects to produce 200,000 of the hatchbacks after
the Earth Day, 2009 launch.

The car is expected to be smaller and less expensive than rival Toyota's
best-selling Prius or Honda's own Civic hybrid.
