National Grid
Natural Gas Vehicles Natural gas is the most environmentally acceptable and economic alternative fuel for America's cars, trucks and buses. Today, about 40,000 natural gas vehicles in the United States are already operating safely, cleanly, efficiently and economically.

Natural gas vehicles are a growing alternative to gasoline powered vehicles. We are a leading proponent of vehicles powered by natural gas. Natural gas vehicles not only reduce our dependence on imported fuels, they also reduce the amount of pollution in the air we breathe. Working with environmental groups, businesses and state agencies, we have helped to enact laws and tax incentives designed to put more of these vehicles on the road.

We have a compressed natural gas refueling station that is open 24 hours a day. The station is located at 670 Allens Avenue, in Providence. If you are interested in using the station, contact Ed Brennan (401-862-3347) or Gary Munroe (401-862-1342) to open an account.
