City Solar Awards 2008


We are proud to announce our upcoming annual report of solar installations for 2007 which will be available on our site at the end of August. Our annual solar awareness event (Solar Celebration) and 2nd annual City Solar Awards will be held at the Berkeley City Club on October 2, 2008

Various municipality officials will be attending, as well as, solar installers, developers, manufacturers, NorCal Solar members, utilities and other community solar enthusiasts. 

It will be the San Francisco Bay area solar socializing and networking event of the year, so please mark your calendar.

Report: Solar Industry, San Francisco Bay & Greater Silicon Valley Regions

The Centers of Execellence has released a report based on a 2008 survey of solar and solar related businesses identifiying solar occupations in greatest demand in the San Francisco Bay Area. While the target audience for this report is Community Colleges to help them target programs toward high growth industries it provides information that would be helpful to anyone conducting business in the solar industry. NorCal Solar provided subject matter expertise and information on solar businesses in support of the research for this report.

Report: New Solar Development Models For West Marin

Get your copy of the new report, "New Solar Development Models For West Marin". The purpose of this report is to analyze potential new models to expand solar energy opportunities in West Marin. The analysis reviews multiple models of community-focused approaches to solar photovoltaic systems development, suggesting follow-up legislative and policy work at the state and county level of governance.

The report was funded by the Marin Community Foundation through the Northern California Solar Energy Association and carried out by Pathfinder Communications, Solar Economy Institute, Presidio School of Management, and Weinberg & Associates.
