Fred DeLuca – Destiny Partner and Co-Founder of Subway Restaurants

If anyone can recognize a project’s potential for success it’s Fred DeLuca, co-founder of Subway Restaurants. Fred borrowed $1,000 from a family friend to open his first sandwich shop and today – 29,310 franchises in 86 countries later – Subway is the largest, privately held franchise in the world.  Due to this success and other investments, Forbes Magazine lists DeLuca as one of America’s wealthiest people.

 

DeLuca teamed with Pugliese to purchase the more than 41,000 acres of land for the Destiny project and serves as a strategic partner on the development of city.

Randy Johnson - Chief Operating Officer

Randy Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Destiny, is well equipped for the challenge of building the most ecologically advanced city in the hemisphere. He co-authored the landmark “Growth Management Act of 2005” and served as the Chairman of the Growth Management Committee in the Florida House. After a career as a Naval Officer and Carrier Pilot, Randy led a number of corporate relocations, including the largest ever in the State of Florida, creating an instant profile for the state in the bio-tech industry.
