"W"We have been a leadership adviser to more than 100 billionaire entrepreneurs. One hundred percent of them have an oversized sense of what is possible, what can be achieved, often when others don't. (T. Boone) Pickens is no exception. He had four major ups and downs throughout his career, any one of which would have knocked the wind out of a mere mortal. I found his persistence inspiring."

What's the Plan?

T. Boone Pickens proposes energy plan for America

A critical message from T. Boone Pickens: "For 35 years, I've been meeting with Presidents and Congressional members, urging them to come up with a comprehensive energy plan for the United States. During that time, U.S. oil imports climbed from 24 percent to almost 70 percent. We are exporting an alarming portion of our wealth to pay for our addiction to foreign oil. Nearly 1.4 million people have visited www.pickensplan.com and signed on as soldiers in our campaign to reduce the grip foreign oil has on us. This heartens me. We have had an encouraging meeting with President-elect Obama’s transition team, and his selections of Steven Chu as Secretary of Energy and Carol Browner to lead the White House Council on Energy and the Environment are great choices. They’re as serious about ending America’s dependence on foreign oil as you and I are. When I visit the newly elected president in 2009, I will take the accumulated voices of millions of Americans with me. Together, we will make a difference. If you haven't yet joined up, check out the plan. If you think it's worth fighting for, please join our effort, and encourage everyone you know to do the same."
